No.1 This steel product underwent heat processing and pickling after hot rolling, and is
generally used for cold-rolling materials, industrial-use tanks, chemical industrial
devices, etc.
No.2D A cold-rolled mat steel product obtained through heat processing and the pickling
process after cold rolling, it is used for petrochemical plants, vehicle parts,
construction materials, pipes, etc.
No.2B A cold-rolled steel product, its gloss and evenness is better compared to those of No. 2D. A representative surface-processing method whose machinery features have
been improved, it can be used for almost all purposes.
No.3 Polished using 100- to 200-mesh polishing paper, this steel product can be variably used for interior and exterior construction materials, the exterior of various electronic goods, kitchen facilities that require an elegant gloss, etc.
No.4 Polished using 150- to 180-mesh polishing paper, this steel product’s polished
condition is finer than that of No. 3. It also has an elegant silver-colored surface and
can be used for baths, interior and exterior construction materials, and food facilities.
HL Continuously polished using a polishing paper with an appropriate particle size, this steel product is most widely used for interior and exterior construction materials as well as for sashes, doors, and building panels.
BA A steel product that underwent a brilliant annealing and heat process, and temper
rolling, after cold rolling, it is used for home appliances, small mirrors, kitchen
apparatuses, and construction materials that require a high reflection rate.
DULL A steel product that has been provided with an irregular surface using a roll with
fine irregularities on its surface, it can be used as interior and exterior materials for
rail motors and buildings where the reflection of light should be reduced.

No.1 This steel product underwent heat processing and pickling
or a similar process after cold rolling.
It can be used as a material for products that do
not need a glossy surface, such as industrial-
facilities materials, building structure materials,
chemical tanks, etc.
HD
(High-Hardness Product)
Cold-rolled through strain hardening, this steel product
features high hardness
can thus be used for high-hardness products, such as springs, knives, railroad cars, pressure boards,
and disk breaks.
No.2D This steel product underwent heat processing and
pickling or a similar process after cold rolling.
It can be used for products that do not require
gloss (for general use, construction use, DDQ,
the defense industry, etc.).
No.2B Cold-rolled after being made to undergo a heating
process, pickling, or a similar process to give it an
appropriate gloss after cold rolling, this steel product’s gloss and surface evenness are better than those of No. 2D.
A representative cold-rolled steel product for general use, it can be used for almost all purposes.
No.3 This stainless steel has been polished using No. 100~No. 200 stainless steel, in accordance with the KS L6001 standards (as regards the particle size of the abrasive). For construction use, kitchen facilities, electronic goods, exterior decorations, etc.
No.4 Polished using No. 150~No. 280 stainless steel in accordance with the KS L6001 standards (as regards the particle size of the abrasive), this steel product’s polished condition is finer than that of No. 3. For construction use, kitchen facilities, vehicles, medical equipment, food facilities, etc.

BA Made luminous through a heating process after cold rolling, this steel product has a high reflection rate and gloss. It can be used for vehicle parts, home appliances, kitchen facilities, decoration products, construction uses, etc.
HL This product was polished to give it a continuous pattern, using an abrasive (No. 4 stainless steel) with an appropriate particle size. For general use (e.g., as exterior and interior construction materials)
VIBRATION This steel product was polished using a random-direction HL, through multishaft horizontal polishing. For construction uses, home appliances, decoration products, etc.
No.8 This polished steel product has a considerable gloss and reflection rate, having gone through a continuous polishing process using a rotating BUFF with an over-800-mesh abrasive, which removed almost all traces of polishing on its surface (dry type). For construction uses, reflection mirrors, pressure boards, decorations, etc.
MR This polished steel product has a considerable gloss and reflection rate, having gone through a continuous polishing process using a rotating BUFF with an over-800-mesh abrasive, which removed almost all traces of polishing on its surface (dry type). SM This polished steel product has the highest reflection rate as it was polished using a rotating FELT with an over-1,500-mesh abrasive, which removed almost all traces of polishing on its surface (wet type). For construction uses, reflection mirrors, pressure boards, decorations, etc.
EM This product was cold-rolled using an embossing roll that engraved a pattern on it through etching or spark erosion. For construction uses, interior materials of elevators, pressure boards, kitchen facilities, electronic parts, and decorations
ET This cold-rolled steel product was provided with a solid pattern using the differentiated corrosion of acid after a pattern was printed on its surface using a screen. For construction uses, interior materials of elevators, pressure boards, kitchen facilities, electronic parts, and decorations
COLOR The various colors of this cold-rolled product were made chromogenic by controlling the passivated oxides layer formed on its surface using the reflection and interference actions of light. For construction uses, high-standard exterior uses, kitchen facilities, etc.
